nashpoo :  That’s not really true at all, you can get a dramatic look from extensions, it just depends on the lash artist being capable and qualified to do so. Good lash extensions don’t weigh down your real lashes or make your eyes look closed, or “high”. Extensions always look best immediately after being done, but I can go 3 weeks and have mine still looking super full since I get volume.

Maybe you’ve just seen some bad quality extensions.

If you’re going to get lash extensions I would just make sure to try them out before the wedding. Get them a few months before the wedding and then get new ones for the wedding. My sister and I both have sensitive eyes and when we tried to get them they made our eyes look swollen and irritated.

They also don’t do very well with a lot of swimming so I’d go with regular falsies if you’re going on a hot/swimmy honeymoon.

futuremrs2020 :  no, I’ve actually had really nice lash extensions done before lol. But I’m really picky and like having my lashes full and prefect all the time which is why I wear strips everyday. And that’s nice, good for you! Just stating my opinion.

Falsies, to me, well, look fake. I wore them for my wedding because I didn’t know about extensions. If you want dramatic yet realistic, I’d go for extensions

I wear false lashes daily to work. I’ve tried lash extensions but it was too hard to maintain .i really do a good face scrubbing when i wash up so daily ones work best for me.. Ardell is the best brand I’ve used. I use the Duo  green lash glue with the brush for fine application. It takes me 5 mins to do my lashes now 😉

paidersgirl :  I had lash extensions for the better part of the last year. I loved them and was pretty sure I would never be without them again. I took fantastic care of them and was very adamant about following the do’s and dont’s.  As much as I loved the look of them, and the constant “glamour” feeling, it just go to the point where I felt they had to come off. You have to be so careful washing them that I felt like after several months any makeup along my lash line wasnt able to be fully washed out, and then the glue that “grew out” with my natural lash, just seemed like it was startng to look clumped and odd.

My lash gal was top notch, and I loved her work, but some things are unavoidable. I mean youre working with glue.

Anyway – after 10 months I had them removed. And I CRIED at how short and stubby my eyelashes were. When I looked in the mirror it looked like I had NONE at all. Terrible feeling and I hated myself for even getting involved with the lashes in the first place.

I started using Grandelash about 3 months ago (when I took the extensions off) and my lashes are finally back to normal, and more long and lush than ever.   I wont ever use extensions again. Go for lash strips unless you are only doing the extensions short term. Otherwise be prepared.

Check out the photos. Here’s my extensions. Then the day after I took them off. And now 3 months later after faithfully using GrandeLash.  This stuff is a miracle!! paidersgirl

I’ve thought about this too. I still have plenty of time to decide before my wedding, but I think I might end up going the route of using a lash growth serum like Latisse instead. I am just nervous because I know it *can* result in darkening and I am pretty pale with blue eyes, but I haven’t found too many actual reports of this happening to people. I would love to hear anyone else’s expierience about these products too! Did you feel that additional lashes/extentations weren’t necessary when using?

prettydetails :  the Grandelash makes a small red line where you use the serum but regualr foundation and eye makeup covers it. It is VERY subtle.  I have not used any falsies of any kind since using it.

paidersgirl :  My wedding is on November 24th too!!  It’s SO CLOSE!  Ahhhhh!

I have extensions and I love them.  Got them done for my engagement photos and decided to keep up with them.  The first couple weeks with them felt funny and I was so careful, but after that, I forgot they were even there.  I go every two weeks to get them touched up.  It shouldn’t take too long if your lash artist is experienced.  Took maybe 30 min to get the full set on and it takes about 15 min for touch ups.

False worked out really well for me and my photos but they scared the hell out of my husband when I drunkely ripped them off at the after party

I use RapidLash and it’s worked way better for me than Grande. It has caused slight darkening around my lash line (not redness) but it just looks like I’m wearing subtle smudged out eyeliner so I don’t mind it and the results are worth it prettydetails :
