I am 110% using false eyelashes on my wedding day. I have had my makeup artist for a long time and she knows how to apply them so they don’t look too bulky and fake.

I think (unless someone happens to have amazingly curly long lashes naturally) it really makes a big beautiful impact on the eyes and its worth it!

I’ve worn both glue on false lashes and the extensions. I don’t do it often, but just for special occasions. I did wear false eyelashes on my wedding day and I am glad I did because it helped my eyes pop in photos. You have to use the right ones or you will get that thick long stripper eye lash look lol. I like MAC lashes and DUO glue…the best IMO!

I had extensions done and they were horrible for me. I have sensitive eyes though so it was just torture after a couple of days. One of my BMs had them done before we went to Mexico and she had no problems the whole week and they looked great!

After the last thread, I went out and bought a drugstore kit that had glue, remover and varying length size lashes. Even the shortest ones looked ridiculous and didn’t stay on. I still want to do lashes, but I need a new game plan!

@Amaryllis: Would you be able to go to a MAC counter the morning of your wedding for them to apply them for you? I assume youre not having a makeup artist- if you are, they could do it.

I don’t like the way a whole set of glued one’s feel. I used to be a dancer and I would have to wear them for shows and they used to really bother my eyes. However, for my wedding a friend of mine does eyelash extensions and asked if I would want her to do them as a gift. I told her about the irritation and she said that it would be highly unlikely because she uses surgical glue, the type they use for stitches, to adhere them. I had her put them on about a month before so that I could see if I would have a reaction. I didn’t. I loved them so much. They really did change the way that my eyes looked. I wish that I could have them everyday.

@Evie19: There are no MAC counters around here, unfortunately. I am actually having a MUA, but they didn’t offer lashes so I was going to bring my own. She’ll apply them for me, but they just didn’t have any on hand.

I second MAC lashes and DUO glue!  Though, I personally just went and got extensions and they are stunning!

@bells: Well there are many different types of MAC lashes- i have pictures of myself when im wearing them, but none that are close-up so they don’t really help.

if I were you I’d go to a MAC store and just talk to the people there about it- they can show you which ones look the most realistic.

@mwitter80: I agree, they just make your eyes, and your whole face really..look amazing!

Oh, just saw one poster say you don’t have a MAC nearby.

If you have a good makup artist the most natural looking false lashes are the individual ones like this http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P114417&categoryId=B70 you can also try a drugstore brand, however I’ve never used one so I can’t recommend any.

As for MAC lashes, do you have a macys near you? If not here are some of the options, again, personally I like the individuals but you may want 31 or 21 http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P114417&categoryId=B70

I think they look great! Just don’t get the really full, long, and voluminous ones and they will look natural.  Look for the ones that have varying lengths in them.
