If everyone is guessing a boy and then you have a boy chances are you’re going to hear a ton of “I told you so!” and “I KNEW IT!” But so what?! My Mother-In-Law is actually 99% right in guessing gender. She can tell by how you’re carrying and the shape and all that. Sounds crazy but she is pretty good! I am excited to get pregnant and have her guess our baby’s gender.

When my husband’s sister was pregnant all the ultra sounds said she was having a girl. My husband refused to believe it. Untils he gave birth every health care professional told her it was a boy. Her son had to wear girl clothes for a few weeks!

She’s pregnant again and she still refuses to believe it’s a girl. He won’t by anything girl-related, lol. She’s due in a few weeks so I’ll get back to ya!

My BFF’s boss’s wife just had a baby, too. They all told her it was a boy and it was a girl.

giaf1 :  My mom was 100% convinced I was having a girl. She was so confident that when my husband invited her into the room after birth to “meet her grandson” she actually thought he was kidding. I honestly don’t remember everyone else’s predictions since they weren’t given so vehemently 😉

any guess will be right roughly 50% of the time.. better not to agonize over it much.  There will always be some people who “told you so”.  Let them have it, IMO.. if it makes them feel good to be able to call heads/tails in a coin toss, so be it.

We’re not telling anyone the sex until our shower. No one has guessed correctly yet and I’m halfway done this week lol. I have no idea how I’ve somehow convinced everyone I’m having the sex that I’m not. I’ve even gone baby shopping with my BFF and convinced her of the wrong one too, not on purpose. I was just focused on not giving it away. She actually had it right based on my ‘tone of voice’ when I told her we knew but were keeping it secret. Somehow during shopping I 100% convinced her that it was the other, wrong sex. I find it hilarious.

giaf1 :  Everyone except one person said boy. I had a girl. Part of the fun waiting til birth is getting all the guesses. Just enjoy the experience!

My mother thinks she has a ‘gift’ and has claimed I’ll have 3+ boys. I desperately want a girl. I’m not even pregnant or trying yet.

My co-worker’s daughter is having a baby this month. She already has three boys (all under 6 years old) and my co-worker knew IMMEDIATELY that this one was going to be a girl. She said she just felt it. And then this pregnancy ended up being completely different from her other three. Lo and behold, this one is a girl. My co-worker also had November 29th in her head from day one as a due date. Doctor told her daughter that the due date was December 14th. Daughter is already having contractions and is expected to give birth at the end of November…

Crazy how intuitive people can be.

ETA: Just do the “ring test” and it’ll tell you everything you need to know. Apparently it’s some kind of magic and scary accurate. Told me I’ll have 2 girls, then a boy, and then 2 girls again. I hope for my and my husband’s sanity that that won’t happen. Lol!
