@regit45:  “Thank you for the suggestion but Fiance and I have already decided on that”. Wash, rinse, repeat!

Hang in there and a feel free to “not hear your phone ringing” 🙂

@regit45:  This is a list of things my big sister says I have got wrong so far:

Seating plan

Number of guests

Time of ceremony

Cake design

Order I walk down the aisle

Showing my dress to Future Mother-In-Law (even though we are very close)

I’ve since learnt that it makes more sense to just stop asking people for their opinion. Where they volunteer it, I simply nod and say thats a good idea and forget it!

@regit45:  Smile and nod.  I found it helped if I didn’t talk about any wedding related stuff that wasn’t already decided/booked.  That way people couldn’t comment (well, they could still comment, but they couldn’t influence the decision).

@regit45:  I just wouldn’t share ideas with them anymore. Otherwise do what a PP suggested, “Thanks for your input, but Fi and I already have it figured out.”

The more you talk about the more people think you want to include them and that they can have an opinion on the matter. I found if people asked questions, vague answers and changing the subject helped.
