We’re really set on a family-style meal for our wedding reception. Our families and friends are warm people of different cultures, and it would be great to have people interact and feel at home. This is cheesy, but I like the idea of our first meal being among a big family passing around dishes.
That said, can anyone share sample menus or an idea of how that would work?
I’m thinking of splitting the meal into two courses (or servings), with a meat, a vegetable and a starch per course. Folks would know in advance what the two courses would consist of, and we’d try to get the six dishes out fairly quickly. The idea is to limit the number of platters on the table at one time, while also having some variety.
Would love to hear how folks worked around this. Thanks ahead!
