For a small wedding it would work well.

Those chickens can be kind of messy. How would guests serve themselves from them? If you want that picnic feel, what about some of the fried chicken instead? Less group work required 😉

For 25 guests, that sounds perfect!

I think this is fine, but to cut down on the mess maybe you should carve the chickens or something beforehand? Otherwise, for such a small gathering this sounds fine.

Just re-read your post. For 25 people you will need more than 1 or 2 chickens. Count on an average chicken serving 4-5 people.

I like that type of reception especially since you said its a smaller wedding.

I agree with it being a little messy, I personally find getting chicken off the bone a little tricky, so I would probably just skip it and leave it to the others so I wouldn’t cause a scene in front of everyone haha, but if you deboned it then I think it would work well.

I think that’s fine. It’s a bit similar to what we’re having for our 23 person wedding. Although we’re getting caterers to do the work for us.
