This is such an awesome idea! I just told my Fiance, and he said could invite the entire Washington Capitals team! Although, hockey players are pretty chill, so they might actually show up! We are big Caps fans, but one of our groomsmen loves the Penguins (GIANT rivalry). It would be worth it just to see his face when Ovechkin came through the recieving line!! 🙂

I was at a wedding a couple of weeks ago with John Leiber (used to play for the Phillies). I really wanted to send invites to Ryan Howard and Cole Hamels (also Phillies) but my parents wouldn’t let me. So that’s about as close to celebs as I got.

Not having any celebs at my wedding (that I know of!), but I’m definitely planning on sending an invite to the White House! I think that is just too neat.

I didn’t invite anyone famous to our wedding, but my friend who was invited to the wedding has a best friend she went to high school with that is cousins with Jason from “The Hills” (Lauren Conrad’s old boyfriend).

I was sad to here from him that the show is actually scripted, but I still like following the show.

I also went to the same school as the band “Blink 182.”  Unfortunately, they graduated a year before I went to the same high school so I never really had a chance to meet them, but from what people have told me they used to practice straight out of their garage before they became famous.

My brother was also in the same class as Michelle Kwon (the now retired but famous figure skater).  They were in the same speech communications class at UCLA.  He said that she had a bit of a lisp and she always had designer clothes.  According to my brother, her figure skating clothes cost close to $100,000 each and they were custom-made by Vera Wang!  I would have liked her to come to the wedding but my brother felt too intimadated to get to know her.

My girlfriend married the nephew of Vince McMahon from WWE wrestling.  He was there along with some wrestlers.  We were all told that we weren’t to go take pictures with them.  Not something that the wrestlers requested but that the groom and bride wanted the night about them and not the wrestlers.  LOL.  I wouldn’t have known any of them were there until it was mentioned.

In our wedding one of the groomsmen was in the first season of Apprentice!  Crazy huh!  But that was years ago so no one but his classmates from highschool will know.

I’ve been to events with really famous people present, and hated the awkwardness. Usually people would stare at them but try to hide it; naturally not succeeding. At one school play, more people were watching the celebrity in the front row than the kids on stage.

I’m happy we’re not close enough to anyone famous to invite them.

One of my bridesmaids is “famous”. She has starred in a few movies in America and is huge in the UK (billboards, the west end, magazines, etc.). It was kind of funny becuase people kept going up to her at the wedding and being like “um, I really liked you in such-and-such” AND were super awkward around her

Our photographer did take a million pics of her though… but maybe it was cause she is so used to having her picture taken and the rest of us looked super awkward!!

I don’t have anyone famous coming to my wedding, but I had a dream a few months ago that Seth Rogan was at my wedding.  Totally random.
