Okay, so my Future Mother-In-Law is going to make our wedding cake. I was just wondering if you’d have any ideas for that.
Our original idea was having a big dragon on top and the tail winding down around the other tiers and then we’d have models of the two of us climbing up the tail or something. Future Mother-In-Law has said she won’t do a dragon, so I guess that won’t be happening.
Does anyone have different ideas?
We are both big nerds and are big into Lord of the Rings, Dungeons & Dragons, Discworld, etc.
Our whole D&D party will be at the wedding as well. So if anyone of you has any good ideas on what we could do for a wedding cake (that do not involve dragons :c), I’d be more than happy!

As a D&D nerd as well…
I’d probably go with something still D&Dy. A tiered cake with you an your husband tossing spells or shooting arrows at a bugbear or a beholder or something. Maybe a pile of sweet loot at the top? You could probably incorporate wedding rings into a big pile of gold if you wanted to tie it together.
Any meaningful battles you & your party had? My group had notible encounters against an owlbear, a beholder and a whole slough of kobolds, haha.

sweirdo : Could you have a simple cake with two gold rings on top (like the lord of the rings ring) and maybe some decorative writing that says something like “Two rings to rule them both” ?

Hyperventilate : That’s a good idea. We might have to tone it down as Future Mother-In-Law is super religious and (seriously) is at the moment giving out about how FH brought something into the hosue and now it’s haunted. Because of a fight she caused and FH’s sister allegedly hearing footsteps when alone at home. (Seriously. I’m not kiddding you.)
I like the idea of the sweet loot, we might be able to make the tiers a bit like dungeon levels with the loot on the top, that would be a really cool idea.
We fought 12 pirates once when (much to the annoyance of our DM) we decided to pursue a side quest to get a pirate island. That was wild…

D20? Could that work. I’d like a dice cake…

Yeah, we had that idea as well. Future Mother-In-Law did wedding cakes for a living once and she’s a total pro. I’ll suggest it to her definitely, maybe even stacked dice, that would be cool…
