I’m compiling an exhaustive list of FAQ questions for my wedding website. I shared the ones I have thus far, below. Can anyone share questions from their sites OR help me think of questions that you might have if you were invited to my September destination wedding weekend in Barbados?
- what Should I wear?
- will there be alcohol?
- what about meals?
- are kids welcome?
- can I bring a date?
- when should I arrive and depart?
- can I extend my stay in the host hotel?
- are there any acommodations besides the host hotel?
- what should I do if I am traveling alone, but need a roommate?
- will there be any downtime?
- I would like to make a speech/presentation. How can this be arranged?
- what travel documents do I need to go to Barbados?
- what is the currency exchange rate?

If I were you, I would consider doing a separate section for accomodations, since there seems to be a lot about them (which is a good thing). Under accomodations, you could address all of the hotel/lodging questions, as well as talk about local attractions and give names of local stores and services. In the FAQ, I would keep the currency exchange, legal documents for travel, and add stuff about the ceremony/reception. You might also want to add a blurb about guests who may need accomodations in regards to food allergies.

How far is the reception area from the airport?
What is the average weather like at that time of year?
Is it at a resport that is all inclusive?
Are there any other events before or after the wedding (RD, brunch)?
Can I take pictures?

Is Barbados safe?
do I need vaccines to go to Barbados?
also, I would move the what should I wear question lower down. I think it’s fine to include, but some people get touchy about being told what to wear so by moving it down it’s not so in your face

nice, thanks! I actually don’t want to include the what to wear question, but I’ve gotten so many questions about it, I figure people must really want to know.
Good catch on all the accommodations-related FAQs. I do have a section about accommodations, but it moreso includes info on how to book, pricing and so on. I will include the alternate accommodation info there as well, so I can remove that from FAQs (I put it there in the first place, because I would truly prefer for all guests to use the host hotel. I didn’t really want to publicize other options unless someone specifically asked us and had extenuating circumstances).
I do need some general questions about Barbados. I travel a lot and have been to Barbados many times so I can forget that some things are not common knowledge. thanks!

@Overjoyed: I would do a separate accomodations page, as well as accomodations FAQ’s. Repetition is good!
Other questions to consider:
What is the weather like in Barbados in September?
What happens before the ceremony?
What happens after the ceremony?
What is the cut-off date for hotel reservations? (again, repetition)
How do I get around the island?
What is the RSVP date? (repetition!)
