Do you have some pictures of you wearing a ballgown dress with a fascinator?
I know, that fascinators look beautiful with mermaid gowns or 20ies vintage gowns. But how do they look with tulle ballgown-dresses? I am going to wear the Atelier Diagonal Orion and I do not like to wear a veil.
Do you think a fascinator/headpiece like this will work with this dress?
Or is it better to just use some white hydrangeas (also used in my bouquet) to complete the look?
Thanks a lot.

I think the hydrangeas would look better with this particular dress. The dress already has a ton of drama on its own – something about the headpiece just doesn’t mesh quite right.
Talk to your florist about the hydrangeas, though – they are very delicate, actually, and wilt quickly. It might be better to just find a less overwhelming head piece!

@ALAWI: Its really hard to say without seeing it all together. I LOVE your dress….stunning!
Treejewel19 another bee here wore one with her dress for her reception and she looked lovely in hers!
Edit…I found a pic of hers….which looks similar to the one you are thinking of wearing. Her dress was a satin ballgown

Thanks a lot. I think I will go and try it on with my dress.

In my opinion, that style of fascinator does not really go well with your beautiful, traditional organza and lace dress. I think you may be able to find a beautiful comb that will better reflect your overall look.

I think it’ll work, I like that idea!
On another note, you’re like, the only other person I’ve seen who is wearing an Atelier Diagonal dress! Mine is the Faldar, but I LOVE your dress!

@ALAWI: I had a ballgown and a ivory tulle fascinator for the reception and I love how it looked. It was very comfortable, stayed secure all night and I got loads compliments. The center portion is crystals (can’t see in these photos).
(it is for sale)
ETA:@weddingbound: HA! I had no idea you posted that. Oops! Thanks. 🙂
