I’m all about the bolero! There are so many beautiful ones on Etsy, I think i have about a million “favourites” on there! If you found a seller you really like I’m sure they could make you one with sleeves or that was felted so it’s a bit warmer!

I second checking out Etsy, you can probably even find someone to custom-make you one for a reasonable price!

ok so this is what i would do… i will get some stylish tights and buy a pretty cardigan that match the tights and the dress… and for shoes i will buy pretty oxford shoes to go with he assemble and for my hair a pretty, delicate and small fascinator…  what you think??

Good call on the cover-up.  I got married in SF in April, and I’m rocking my coat in almost all our outdoor pictures.  Good thing I loved it.

With that dress, I’d also suggest some kind of slightly structured jacket…maybe like this:

(from j crew, on sale for $60, comes in a dark pink and a purple as well).

i think your dress is ivory and pink or lilac so if you want to stay in that light palate  here are some examples…

you also can ho drastic and get a darker purple or your favorite color…

and for the fascinator you can make it yourself and is cheaper… there are some tutorials here in weddingbee

if you need anything else let me know

Holy crap, are you me?? I’m a redhead getting married in SF in March at City Hall too!! And I’m wearing a short dress and was worrying about being cold! I ended up ordering a custom bolero to match my dress from an Etsy seller. She made me one with 3/4 sleeves so that more of me is covered up.

I know it will be a little chilly, but it won’t be freezing. I figure I can tough it out for an hour or so, because I know I’ll be warm at our reception venue. Good Luck!
