I don’t entirely “get” veils and need your help!!!
I impulse-bought the veil below for the 10% discount when I bought my dress. Now, I think it chops off my dress and doesn’t look quite “right.” I’d like to replace it with something from etsy.
What kind of veil and length do you think would look best with this dress? Mantilla? Raw edge? Sparkly? And, waltz or chapel length? Birdcage is out for me.
(the top picture with my back to the camera is the veil I bought; I liked the length of the one in the front-facing picture, but it cost more than my dress! And, I know I have quite a while until my wedding, but this uncertainty is driving me a little crazy :))

I think the mantilla would look good with your dress, but I also vote for chapel length anything, so pretty!

I agree that a chapel length mantilla would look beautiful

I voted ‘other’ because I think you could really wear anything with that dress!
Is there any way you can try on some different veils with your dress? Even if you went along to a shop with the intention of purchasing from etsy later…

I voted for other because I am in love with drop(circle) veils.
I would get it in either chapel or chathedral length.

I would definitely like to see something more dramatic with your dress. Chapel or catheral length, a lace-edge anything would be great. Or a short bubble would work. BTW–David’s Bridal will let you exchange if you decide on something there. Some of the better DB stores carry a very extended line of veils–things I haven’t seen in other stores or the internet.

thanks, girls! I was feeling guilty about getting another veil, but I am absolutely convinced that a chapel length, lace-edged veil (either mantilla or gathered) will make this dress pop. I am just going to go for it!!! luckily, I have plenty of time to decide on a veil/try making one to my specs, if I am *brave*

(ps, anyone looking for an ivory, gold beaded, scalloped, two-tier fingertip veil? haha)

Hah, I have two dresses and two veils! Don’t feel bad. 🙂
