I know there have been some recent posts about fingers expanding and contracting with the seasons but my fingers are crazy. yesterday, i literally couldn’t keep my ring on, today the indentations on my finger are super deep and sort of sore.
does anyone else have this issue? like ring sizes that change by a whole digit within a few hours?

Oh me…ok well not a whole size but 1/2-3/4 of a size. I can be normal in the morning and if I’m outside working out and it’s hot and humid my fingers swell like no tomorrow!! It’s super annoying…and it’s partially why I sized up to what I have now. My ring spins sometimes but at least I can get it off when my fingers are swollen without tearing up my knuckle. I fly a lot for work too, and that makes me swell many times.

Monitor your salt intake and drink more fluids wuld be my suggestion. Mine are like that right now, but I am pregnant and everything is swollen…lol

When I had my ring resized. I mentioned that I have this same problem. This is what they did to make the ring fit better. It is wonderful. Th beads allow my ring to fit no matter what kind of day they are having.

@sbharkness83: I have those in my ring too. It’s the perfect solution!

@sbharkness83: do they hurt at all?

My ring is tight first thing in the morning & when I’m hot and sweaty, but about a quarter size too big when I’m cold…
@sbharkness83: I love that! I think I’ll inquire about getting beads when I get my ring redipped before the wedding. My ring was originally sized down from a 7 to a 5 and now the band is not a perfect circle… I just don’t want to risk it.

I just have a promise ring that I’ve been wearing for years but yesterday it was on and off without a problem and this morning I can’t even get it off my finger! I can’t get my RHR off either. It usually happens after I’ve eaten something really salty, (Thai food last night) or when the weather is hotter. I find if I drink more water during the day I don’t run into this problem at all.

Yes I have the same problem sometimes. During the summer, I don’t wear my ring all the time because my fingers swell up too much.

I have that problem sometimes, but I have Lupus which causes all my joints to swell, and I’m going through menopause which throws everything off whack!
As someone else said, watch your salt intake and drink plenty of water. If you need to get your rings off when your finger is swollen, soak your hand in cold (not icy cold) water and use a little dish soap to lubricate your finger.
Oh! and the beads are a great idea. I don’t have them, but I know a lot of women who do and they love them.
