I’m using I Loved Her First even though my dad and I can have a very strained relationship at times… Regardless of anything, I do know he loved me

We’re doing “Isn’t She Lovely”- Stevie Wonder. Very cute and meaningful song without being too sappy and has a good beat to it!

Commenting to come check out the suggestions! I’m close with my father but some of the song lyrics are super creepy.  I’m thinking of Isn’t she lovely or Daughter because they are fun and not sappy and creepy.

We’re doing Brown Eyed Girl and cutting it off before it gets creeeppyyyyyyy.  There’s a part with just music where it transitions into talking about doin’ it so we’ll stop before that, lol.  It’s a really good song up until that point and pretty fast paced and fun so it might be good for you guys.

I am between these songs;

Daughter – Loudon Wainwright III (these lyrics best describe us)

Tiny Dancer – Elton John

In My Life – The Beatles

The Way you Look Tonight – Frank Sinatra

Wonderful Tonight – Eric Clapton

Landslide – Dixie Chicks

I’ll Stand By You – The Pretenders (we both love The Pretenders)

Lynryd Skynyrd – Simple man

Not sure if any of those are too weird. I wish I knew what I was picking!

My dad and sister danced to My girl, but there’s a Rolling Stones version, so it was really good because my dad loves them.  I think I’m going to make him dance to Loudon Wainwright – Daughter because it totally works for us but *hopefully* I can get through it without bawling like a baby.

He’s also a huge Led Zepellin fan and I was thinking D’yer Maker, which is my favorite song of theirs.  Not totally appropriate based on the lyrics, but are people going to be analyzing it that hard?

I’m using unforgettable by Nat King Cole. It’s really cute and not at all sappy.
