We did “Wonder of You” by Elvis Presley. I wanted an oldie but a goodie. I was also considering “Isn’t She Lovely?” by Stevie Wonder or “Butterfly Kisses.” My dad needed a slower song, so isn’t she lovely wouldn’t have worked so well!

I have no advice on newer songs, sorry.

Never thought of Beyonce Daddy but that’s a great idea! Someone one another post also suggested Celine Dion “Because You Loved Me”.
