I’m thinking of having my Father-Daughter dance to Joe Cocker’s "With a Little Help From my Friends." The reason for this selection is that my dad loves Joe Cocker and every time I think of him, I can hear it in my head and I can see him emulating Joe’s dance moves – this is a vision I’ve had since I was very young and it’s one I cherish.
My question is this: Is this an appropriate song for a father-daughter dance? I’m not much for the traditional type songs, and I wanted it to be something special for him.
Also, since it is a lengthy song, would it be appropriate for my to-be husband to perhaps ask my mom to dance mid-way through the song? Or perhaps have my attendants dance as well mid-way though with us? (there are only 4 of them)
I just need some opinions. I’d like for it to end up as more of a group dance, but I don’t know if that would be acceptable or not.
