Hey girls! I have a little back story as to what song I want to dance to with my dad.
I’ve been playing the piano since I was 8 (I’m 21 now) and music has been a huge part of my life. Ever since I was 8, my dad would always ask my piano teacher if she would teach me “Love Story” by Andy Williams. (the lyrics are here). Whenever we’d go into an electric/digital piano store, he’d always ask the sales person if their pianos could play “Love Story” or at least the accompaniment to it.
Anyway, since he’s so in love with that song, and since I attribute it to him and I also LOVE it, musically, I thought it would be a great father-daughter song for us!
But my question is: are the words to “romantic” for a father-daughter dance? I personally don’t care for lyrics of any song; I’m more in tune with the musicality of it. If you were a guest at my wedding, would you think it’s weird that we’re dancing to that song?
