So I just had a quick question, and I may be totally in the dark about this but..what does/can a father of the bride do during the wedding? The weddings I’ve been to, I’ve always seen the FOB give a blessing, or toast during the reception. Well, my dad isn’t the greatest public speaker and I’m not sure he would feel comfortable doing something like this. If any of you bees had any tips/ideas for what he could do, I would greatly appreciate it!
Also- what does the father of the groom do?!

Walks the Bride down the aisle (if that is your preference)
Blesses the marriage
Father daughter dance
and thanks the guest for coming or gives a speech
FOG – nothing really at the wedding or the reception

Oh my gosh I feel so dumb, lol. Can’t believe I forgot about all of that. Thank you!! 🙂
Is there anything the FOG could do? I don’t want to feel like I’m leaving him out.

What about a reading at the wedding and there is nothing wrong with him doing a toast at the reception.

We had the FOG say the blessing before everyone started eating.
