So my partner doesn’t have a lot of male influences in his life. Never met his father and has no siblings or extended family that he talks to.
He is having my brother as 1 of his groomsmen but cannot think of a suitable person to be Best Man (he has lots of friends but no-one that is close enough or really stands out as Best Man material). He is probably closest to my father but I’m not sure how that would work in the ceremony if he were to choose him as the Best Man?
Could he still walk me down the isle and be Best Man? Or should I look into perhaps getting my mother to walk me down the isle?
Any advise you could give me would be great!

isabella.r.christensen: I foresee no problems with your Dad escorting you down the aisle then stepping into the Bridesmaid or Best Man space next to the groom. Do you think the groom’s brother would be upset by not being asked himself?

julies1949: He is having my brother as a groomsmen, not his. He has no siblings of his own and I only have 1 brother so he was an obvious choice! Thanks so much for the validation, I thought it would be fine but I’ve never seen it done!

I have heard of the groom’s own father as the best man, no reason it couldn’t be the bride’s dad.
Your dad would simply walk you down the aisle, and instead of sitting in the front row, he would take his place next to the groom.
