Why is it so tricky? Is there something unique that you need to address? And are there types of music you like or don’t like? It seems like a common one for stepfather dances is “He didn’t have to be” by Brad Paisley, although not everyone loves it. Maybe look at some old posts. Lots of bees have asked this question before. http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/need-stepfatherdaughter-dance#axzz2Zmieevw7

Because my stepdad isn’t one of my favorite people (he abused me growing up) it was important to me to have a casual, not mushy song.  Because my Fiance is wonderful he offered to do the mother-son dance at the same time to take the pressure off.  So we are doing ‘Your momma don’t dance and your daddy rock ‘n roll’ and we’re surprising our parents with it.  If it were up to me I wouldn’t do it at all, but it would mean a lot to my mother.
