My father has a real bad joint disease where basically his hip joints come out of socket when he stands/walks etc. He can still stand and walk, but not very far or for too long or he will fall.
For the ceremony my uncle (my dad’s brother) is walking me down the aisle, where Daddy will stand and give me away.
Because of his condition, I ASSUMED that we wouldn’t be doing a father daughter dance..but in conversation with him over the weekend, he WANTS to do one.
So my question is, for those of you who may have a wheelchair bound father/relative..how did you do your father/daughter dance? Did you stand and dane and while he danced and spun around in his wheelchair, did you sit on his lap? He really threw me for a loop because I didn’t think this was something he would want to do but by the tone of his voice he is looking very forward to it so I gotta be sure he gets to have that moment.
