Isn’t She Lovely — Stevie Wonder

Not too sappy, but completely appropriate (actually written for the birth of his daughter, so super appropriate).

Love van morrison, we almost used ‘days like this’ for the mother son dance.

What about ‘have I told you lately that I love you’?

@bride71413:   that sounds like my dad & I …. none of the songs that we listened to while i was growing up were appropriate lol …. so we did James Taylor, you’ve got a friend.  Darling Husband and his mom danced at the same time we did, saved time and it worked for all of us.

We are combining our father-daughter and mother-son dances, and we’ve chosen Tom Petty’s Wildflowers.

we used isn’t she lovely. i wanted something upbeat and not cheesy or sappy since i’ve never been a daddy’s girl. i started out dancing with my dad and then had my mom cut in about half-way thru 🙂
