We just found out we’re pregnant and although I’ve come up with a cute way to announce it to our families, I’m still wracking my brain for something to get for DH for father’s day this year.
Did you get your DH/SO something for Father’s Day before the baby was born? If so, what?

Even though my husband told me that I *ahem* did not get Mother’s Day this year (um, hello, I’m baking your baby???) I’m still doing something for him. I got him a cute “Father to Be” card (Target had a ton of them) and I’m going to get him a new tshirt from his college and have it be from the baby for “when they go to games together in the future”.

Last year DH was father to be and did not do anything. I didn’t get a mother to be stuff for mothers day last year. This year is DH’s first fathers day. So far he is getting a t shirt with world’s #1 dad on it. Haven’t figured out what else to get him

I gave my DH some “expecting-daddy” gifts for Christmas.
One gift was a book about fatherhood written by other fathers. Lots of cartoons and pictures and really funny so DH actually read (most of) it. I also made him some onesies (using iron-on transfers). One of them says “Daddy’s Drinking Buddy” with a picture of a baby bottle. And another one has the logo of DH’s favourite sports team.
For father’s day I will probably be getting DH a bottle of his favourite alcohol so he can have a proper celebratory drink. I am sure he will enjoy it because he has given up alcohol for the last month just in case baby makes an early entrance.
Honestly, I am sure he will love whatever you give him, especially if it has anything with “Dad/Papa” on it. Good Luck!

I’ll be pushing his baby out so that will be his fathers day gift!!
Like PP have said anything daddy related is a cute idea, especially if u can find something that suits him like a little fishing pole if he likes fishing or a rockstar shirt if hes a musician.

I got him a Patriots shirt (his fav team) that says “Best Dad” on it. I know it’s a little early for that, but i think he will love it anyways.

@Rose120 : The book was called “Show Dad How”. I know you can buy it and preview it on Amazon:

My DH isn’t a big reader so it was great for him. This is probably Too Much Information, but it’s in our bathroom so he can read a few pages when he is “at the office”.

I’m going to send DH golfing. We’ve had so much going on and with our LO due in less than 2 months, I know golf will be sparse for the rest of the summer.

My hubby has been working on flower beds in the backyard for me. So even though I didn’t get a mother’s day gift that day he’s been working for a few weeks on them so i’m not going to complain because I know he could careless about plants. I got him a onesie that says, “This is my working in the garage with Dad Shirt.” My hubby does all of his oil changes, car washes, rotating of tires and other maint. on his cars so I thought this was a cute onesie because I’m sure they’ll be in the garage a lot together.
