My Fiance and I want to plan our wedding day for our 8 year anniversary together which will be in June 16th, 2019. But this is on Sunday which is Father’s Day as well! Do you think we should just go for it, or is Father’s Day a big deal for a lot of people and it being on a Sunday night people will be wanting to leave early for work the next day.
What do you think, would you go?

I’m getting married June 24th 2018 the Sunday after Father’s Day. I wanted to avoid Father’s Day because I felt like they wouldn’t have their day. I know some of my guests are fathers and would rather spend the day with just the family at home or going out to eat. I know it’s not a big holiday but felt like I didn’t want to share my special day or make anyone else share theirs.
You could pick another day or if it means a lot to you people that want to attend your wedding will still be there.
Also just wanted to say that my wedding is also on a Sunday evening and I think most of the guests will be coming so I wouldn’t worry about having a wedding on a Sunday in general. If people are traveling they will just take Monday off work.
This is just my opinion, hope you figure it out!
