My Dad’s surprise 50th birthday party is on Saturday, so we’ll probably celebrate Father’s Day then (as well as my parents 26th anniversary).

My Dad travels a lot (and reads a lot), so my siblings and I may buy him a Nook.  He’s mentioned e-readers in the past.

We’re boring. We normally just get our dads gift cards. This year though, I’m also planning on making them each their favorite dessert. I think my dad will enjoy his carrot cake more than his Lowes gift card! ๐Ÿ™‚

I got my dad an iPod touch and docking station so he can listen to music and play angry birds while he travels lol

This was all financed by my mom though ๐Ÿ˜

I got him a coffe mug/pillow case combo off of boldloft.com after I made my mom promise to put the pillowcase on the bed ๐Ÿ™‚ I got him this one because it reminded me of the HOURS I made him play Barbies with me.

Not the most useful/fun gift but I hope it is meaningful for him! I appreciate the time he spent with me growing up.

Also, I am getting a Buffy tattoo next week. More for me to remind me of him since we watched it together every Tuesday when I was a teenager but still…

I’m buying him the True Grit dvd, along with a dvd of the John Wayne version (if I can find it, I’m going hunting for it on Saturday).

I’m also making him a moose roast, taters, veg, and biscuits for dinner (his fave), and apple crisp for dessert.

My dad just is my best friend in the whole world and he just moved across the country. I’m getting him a webcam so we can video-chat. I think he will really appreciate it. ๐Ÿ™‚ Plus, it will be nice to be able to see him.

I have no clue what to do for my dad this year either. So I’m gonna cook. I’m thinking maybe a roast chicken with a ton of side and cherry pie? My mom doesn’t really cook so I figured he would appreciate a good meal.
