Thanks for sharing your stories, ladies!
@wgowood – You’re Dad seems like a sweetheart! Cute that he was trying to “hide” his tears.
@neontl – You’re comment made me laugh! How great it is that he’s a tailor! ;o)

My dad saw a picture of me in my dress and his first comment was “how much is it going to cost me?” lol Afterwards my mom told me that my dad was convinced that I would pick a dress that was 5K or more lol he had no idea that I’m a bargain-ista as much as a fashionista =)

My dad is exactly the same way, to the T. We talked to him about the dress and he said he didn’t even want to know how much we spent. He only wanted to make sure that I was still wearing my cowboy boots. He told me that he would buy me a new pair if he could wear his. I told him of course and he has to wear his cowboy hat. I cannot wait to walk down the aisle with my dad in our “get up” as people are calling it lol. I think that may be one of the only times I will ever see him cry.

My dad’s response (via e-mail) to a picture of me in my dress: “Excellent choice.” 🙂 And coming from him, that was quite an enthusiastic response! I loved it. I think I still have it saved in my e-mail folders somewhere…

The first dress I tried on my dad was there but he didn’t get very emotional. Actually, he was bored… or pretending to be so he wouldn’t get emotional. Both parents are coming with me tomorrow to see THE dress so I have a good feeling he might hear up then.

I showed my dad some pictures of the dresses I tried on and on each different picture he said “is that the same dress?” Ha!

haha yeah, he’s a big softy on the inside. I’ll let him keep his bad boy status with all the men folk. :p
