I think you can get them at Hallmark.  They are the ones that you put inside a card.

Before you purchase them, find out from your venue if something like that will be allowed. They might consider it litter.

I think butterflies are a cool idea. Howevs, I had a friend who bought some for his wedding to release after the ceremony… well long story short they didn’t hatch. So he had a bunch of cacoons… Just make sure if you truely want it, you’re commited to actually raising them (because they come as a bunch of cacoons). =)

i was thinking of having little plastic butterflies instead of rice, but i am concerned with the clean up factor
