- Wedding: March 2010
Boy, it really does feel good to check big things off the list. Yesterday we ordered our bouquets and boutonnieres.
I’m not much of a fresh flower person. I mean, I love them. They’re beautiful. But I’d much rather see them in the ground, blooming year after year, than wilted and dead a week after the wedding. So, no fresh flowers for us.
We ordered from a woman who makes clay flowers. One of the women who blog here used her, and you can see the pictures here.
There are lots of tutorials about how to make these yourself, but at this point in the game, I’ve got other things I need to focus on. I do love DIY, but not all at once, and not if it’s going to make me crazy, and I’m sure this would. So, I’m very happy to help employ an independent artist to make them for me.
She’s going to be sending me pictures along the way of her progress, since I’m a sucker for details like that, so I’ll share them here if you’d like to see how they’re coming out.
Whew! On to the next task. Thanks for reading.
