…yesterday I found an app that shows you where the closest people selling girlscout cookies are.

In all seriousness, though, I use many of the apps mentioned above as well as a facebook and twitter client. groupon and if you travel a lot an  hipmunk (an app to help you track and plan flights).

You should try Plants vs. Zombies. I have it on my computer, not my phone since they don’t make it for a droid :(.

Yelp is my absolute favourite – I use it more than anything else. Shazam is awesome too aaand… facebook (though I’d trade it in for a WB app!!!). Google translate is great as well – I hope someday it has character recognition!

OMG, I thought the GS Cookie App was just a joke! It’s real! Holy cow! I totally looked it up on my phone!

Angry Birds. I can’t stop playing that game!! I downloaded it for my son, and now I’m having a hard time sharing it.

I am of the opinion that the world needs more girlscout cookies in it.

Also,  I forgot to mention Pandora has an excellent iphone app. and I also second a WB app! Are there any strong coders on the Bee?

**nerdy tangent** Apple and Iphone apps require you buy their $100ish development package and use a programming language called Csharp which isn’t overly common while Android apps are programmed in Java which is a much more common language, and they don’t require the expensive development package.

Sorry if this was boring.

**nerdy tangent over**

Fruit Ninja is addictive. So is Catan.

I have an app for my bank and credit card to check balances, which is awesome (and password protected, of course)

Others: IMDB, Delicious, LinkedIn, Facebook, Netflix, Amazon, Groupon, BBC News, Food Network, Epicurious, Mixology, NYCWAY, Shazam and Word Lens.

@MissHobbit: My fiancé is a mac and iPhone developer (he owns a popular development firm) and offered to make the WB app when I told him one didn’t exist. I’ve posted about the offer dozens of times on here and so far there have been no takers. I don’t really care who makes it, I just want one.

My favorite apps are:

TomTom GPS app: This TOTALLY beats having an external GPS unit. The Tom Tom GPS works better than any free standing GPS I’ve ever had and its super convenient to only have to use 1 device for everything. The app itself is a little pricy ($50ish) but when you think about how much GPS’ actually cost, it’s a steal. It speaks street names and has a bunch of other cool features. Updates are also automatically sent to it, so I always have the latest version of whatever it’s running. Tom Tom sells a separate mount for it.

Grooveshark: This is an internet music player. It allows you to search for pretty much any song in existence (I’ve yet to find a song it doesn’t have) and play it. You can save the song to your library to be played whenever you have cell service. It also gives you the option to make playlists and save songs offline so they can be played whenever you want (this is pretty much used when you don’t have cell service). I’ve replaced the iPod app on my phone with Grooveshark because I like it so much. It may be free to download but there is a monthly service charge. We got it when they had a $30 p/year plan so thats what we have but I don’t think they offer that plan anymore.

Angry Birds: Tons of fun. Fantastic time waster but beware, it’s seriously addicting and you will stay up at night playing it.

MyWi: This is a wifi tethering app. Basically it turns your phone into a wireless hot spot so you could get wifi on your laptop pretty much anywhere that theres cell reception. I actually don’t know if this is available anymore since there were some issues with Apple. I think we may have gotten this the one day it was available for download but if it is still out there, it’s a VERY useful app.
