Let me start by explaining our favors. We decided to donate to two great causes that are close to our hearts instead of traditional favors. (I know this is cause for debate and thats not what this post is about) But I still want our guests to have a little something, so we are doing small boxes with a Lindt chocolate inside. The problem is the candy looks a little lonesome in the box. My first thought was to include a piece of tissue paper, but that seems a little uncreative. So I’m turning to you creative wonders for a little help. Any other thoughts on what I can put in the box?

Some shoe string licorice? Some of that crinkled/shredded cushiony stuff? Maybe some colored cellophane?

I’m not sure if i know what Lindt chocolate is, but if it’s not super expensive, could you put a few pieces in the box?
What about a smaller box?
What about some ribbon and you can curl it and set it on that?

What about including a small card or paper in each box explaining your donation. That with a candy should fill the box. The paper you print the note on would add color and when everyone opens their box, they would see the whole favor -the candy and the donation info.
Instead, if you were planning to put signs on the table indicating your donation, then you could write a note to each guest and include that with the candy. Or…put a good wish in the box – “fortune cookie” style.

If you’re on a budget, maybe you could use shredded paper — either something colorful or newsprint? That would be budget friendly and eco friendly!
