I vote no names, no date. Way too many personalized favors are tossed out or given to the thrift shop.

I tend to agree with @julies1949:  I dont like “one offs” of glasses frame etc because they dont go with my own set, which means I wont use them at dinner and it takes up space in my cabinet. If it didnt have names and dates I would take it as a water glass but with names and dates I would leave it behind likely. (unless it were my sisters name etc) I may love you as a couple, but I dont need you on my glassware.

I agree with the other posters that no names or dates is best. If you definitely want names then I think you should add the date as well (looks less like I randomly decided to buy a glass with other people’s names on it).

I like it with the date, if it was just the name it’s a little too personal, like someone stole a glass belonging to Emily and Sean lol, with the dates it’s a nice little reminder.

I’m not crazy about stuff with other people’s names on it either (unless I can eat it), but if you’re going to do names, you might as well do the date, too!

@subjunctivitis:  I know you say you’ve decided, but I’ve gone to plenty of weddings and most of the time, at least 80% of the favors are left because people just don’t want something with other people’s names/dates on the items.  I think it would be really cool if you had the hops print on the glasses, and then a paper band around each glass with the name & date logo.  That way you can still have your names & date on the favor, but it won’t be permanent and I’m sure a higher percentage of your favors will actually be taken.

I voted for date. The pint glasses are a cute idea. My suggestions would be your LAST name and under that write “est. 2012”
