@subjunctivitis:  Not really, the favor is a gift to your guests for attending…I think commemorating events is more for festivals, concerts, etc. Usually people buy commemorative things because it represents their hobby or tastes. Your guests might love you but your wedding isn’t a hobby or interest. Like a PP said, just do a cute paper band w/ your name/date. I was just at a wedding where the bride made beautiful favor bags with little wine stoppers and wine glasses…with their names on the glasses. I was disappointed they did that and ended up leaving it. I am a minimalist when it comes to stuff and don’t need knick knacks with names. Weddings are fun but unless you’re my sister, I’m not going to be thinking about your wedding weeks, much less years, later.

    People can be so negative…

Many people WILL SAVE THE FAVOR! I’m glad you are not worrying about other people’s likes and dislikes.  I have a lovely box of mementos from weddings, baptisms, sweet 16s and all that.

I love the last image you posted, with the date underneath. I also had a personalized favor (candle) and do not regret it one bit!

I love the most recent one you posted!  I would be really excited as a guest to receive a pint glass as a gift!  How fun!  I love having glasses from different occasions.  Fiance and I kind of collect them, but of course we use them on a regular basis.

@Garnety:  Yes, SOME people will, but do you want to waste any of your money on things many people will not keep? I guess the couple can always keep them though that’s a little weird (having tons of glasses with your name on them?)

OP, could you print a monogram (S&E) on the bottom of the glass? That’d be pretty cool. Then you could attach little tags that say “Bottoms up”. Don’t know if that’s possible but then you get the best of both worlds.
