We stuck with an edible favor.  I purchased green rock candy and wrapped them in cellophane and used ribbon that coordinated with the wedding colors (black) to tie them.  We just put one at each place setting.  The majority of people took them or ate them at the wedding.

We too went with edible favours. We went with love heart lollies – you know the ones that say things like “Kiss Me” and stuff. I got “LOVE” tags from etsy and some ribbon and hey presto cute favours!

I’ve seen where a couple put a flower bulb in a mesh wrapping and attached a tag on it.

We’ll have silver and purple dark chocolate hershey kisses with our wedding date sticker on the bottom of the kisses in little tulle bags…. we can’t afford to do much more than that though.

We did lip balm with custom labels (our names + date). They were nearly all gone at the end of the night so apparently people took them.

Coffee and tea are our favors.  We chose that because we are big tea fanatics (and by fanatics, I mean snobs LOL) and it’s easy to afford.  We just got some small kraft paper bags, made some labels on the computer, and put enough for one pot in each favor.  They are really cute!  Our wedding has a ‘natural and local’ theme, so we went with a local organic roaster and tea blender, but you could also buy any whole bean coffee, grind it up, and package right before the wedding.  A pound of beans ($12) made 30 favors.

I myself am a super tight budget bride… simple and easy is what i am doing after i realized that coozie cups would be out of the question with my budget.

I bought colored tulle circles online (pre-cut) and am putting Hershey’s hugs and kisses in them and tying with a thin satin ribbon and putting a little tag on them that say “Hugs and Kisses, from the NEW Mr. and Mrs.!”

Cute, simple, and affordable! =) Hope this helps ya!

We did custom flavored fortune cookies! We were able to write custom fortunes in and pick the cookies that went with our colors (blue and orange).. so we ended up having fresh yummy favors for cheap (they bake it and ship it out a week before). You can get it around 65 cents to 1.10 per cookie depending on what you pick.
