So, I’m trying to deicde beteen flip-flips and rollable flats for my wedding. I think I’m going to go with the flats, because i feel like flip-flops are ALWAYS done and kind of look cheap… I found Cinderollies, the guy is really great to work with, the prices are like 60% off of what they are selling retail….. and people can wear them again… I don’t know, thoughts on that vs. FLIP FLOPS???
I did some googling and found this on a post from the past: It’s the same company. And I totally agree with this.
Oh this is the best idea! I was in my best friend’s wedding this year and she ordered them for us plus an additional 50 pair that she had in baskets at the reception for all the other women at the wedding–it was a HUGE hit…its such a great wedding favor because it is a gift to the women AND the men because they dont have to hear their wives/gf’s complain about their feet hurting! I think my friend got them from this company called “cinderollies” …this is their website:
she said if you contact the owner directly via the website that they can do a custom order of different sizes or colors and they come in really cute packaging so it looks like a really nice gift/favor. my boyfriend didnt even notice that we didnt get a candle/ box of seeds/ candy/ wine topper as a typical wedding favor because he didnt have to listen to me whine about my feet all night! hahaa we go to a lot of weddings…
here’s a pic!

Adding a poll will get you more opinions. I was going too go with flip flops b/c those rolled shapes don’t sound comfortable, but they are cute, and don’t seem to be an issue. More formal looking.

@ghiagirl893: yeah I see what you are saying. I got a sample, they are only rolled up when you get them in the mail. They come in this cute bag, and I thought it would be nice to just throw the bag in a basket with the sizes written on the basket. That way they can grab a bag, and unroll the shoe and bam, done. It goes on flat.

I mean, I personally would ABSOLUTELY go for a pair of those! I am not a flip flop person, I never wear them unless I’m actually at the beach or by the pool (I’m weird. I also don’t like Swedish Fish. I might not be a real human..)
I think they would get used again by the women at other weddings or formal events too!

Rollies! I really hate flip flops.

The good thing about flip flops is that you have a little more sizing flexibility. Someone can probably fit a size up or a size down in flip flops for the evening, since they are open. With these shoes, I think you’d have more like a half size of flexibility, although I haven’t seen them in person.
How are you going to determine how many of what size to order?

Voted for the flats just because its different! Although I do wear flip flops around the house all the time. And unlike @Sunnyday278: I love swedish fish.
PS. Sunny, that made me lol

Whoa. Those cinderollies are $20 a pair! That’s pretty high. I know walmart carries a brand that are much cheaper, let me see if I can dig them up!
EDIT : They are Dr. Scholl’s fast flats and they cost about $9.97 a pair, and they come in one of those cute bags, too. They are just folded not rolled.
I think if its within your budget, these are super cute & comfy, I’ve bought a few pairs for work when I work very long shifts.
Flip flops would be more cost effective, and I’ve seen plenty of those at weddings.

@MercyK: hahaha I love swedish fish @Sunnyday278!!! That def made me LOL.
@NAvery I noticed that when I put them on they were really flexible. Normally I’m a 9 1/2 and I fit into the large size which fits a few sizes.. this is the sizing he told me about:
small – 6-7
md – 7.5 – 8.5
So it fit perf.. It was kind of just like a flip flop, flexible… I’m growing more and more towards the flat instead of the flip flop, and they look way cuter!

I emailed them to get final pricing and they said they do bulk discounts for $6 a pair plus free shipping when you order 50 or more… and I need about 100, so that’s not too bad?? I want to see what you come up with @jenilynevette

$6 a pair isn’t too bad then, I def wouldn’t pay the full 20!

@andrea.kuchinski: I find the roll flats so uncomfortable. They’re super FLAT with zero arch support and if they’re a smidge too small, you’ll get blisters all along the back of the heel/ankle…

I just worry that you will end up with leftover shoes, and you’ll have wasted money. As a PP said, it’ll be hard to get the sizing right. I wouldn’t take a pair at all because I’m 5’10 and have big feet, but most of your guests will probably fit in the small-medium -large range. I’m talking more about the distribution of sizes.
Also when I go to an event, I know I’m going to be wearing my shoes all night, and I plan accordingly. I guess I’m saying it’s a nice thought, but as a guest I’d rather have some other kind of gift, or just have you guys save your money.
I don’t mean to be a naysayer because they are definitely cute. Maybe I’m just bitter because I know none of them would fit me. 🙂

@stillme: I totally get what you are saying… Can you come to my wedding and I’ll get you a size that fits 🙂
I don’t want to waste money, that’s totally for sure… but I also don’t want to get some corny favor that someone is just going to either not pick up off their table, throw it away when they get home, etc. And I’m trying to lose weight, so I’m not giving people food HAHA… I don’t know this is all tough stuff to think about!
