OK Bees, I need help!
I want to do something special for my favor, guestbook and cake tables in order to add little splashes of color to our venue. We are getting married on a cruise, so it can’t be anything elaborate and it has to be able to pack easy in order to get on a ship. We are thinking sparkly tulle, but what else?
Here’s a pic of the venue–and yes, it’s a piano bar.
Inspiration pics are most definitely welcome!

One of the best cake tables I have ever seen was also one of the simplest.
The bride had taken a navy blue organza tablecloth with a wide navy satin border and had their monogram and wedding date embroidered on it, placed so that it was visble at the front of the table below the edge of the table top ( not sure if I am explaining that clearly- in other words the monogram started just below where the tablecloth started its’ vertical drop). The key was that the embroidery was also in navy blue so the decoration was subtle and elegant.
If you can find out the isze of the tables available to you you could do overlays the perfect size. Otherwise I would do large ones so you can position any extra fabric at the back and puddle it at the front.
Tablecloths are easy to pack.

@jpalm13: We are using this more as a cocktail hour followed by a sit-down dinner at 6:15, so I’m thinking this will be at around 5.
