Green! I dunno why. I’ve just always liked them.

Honeycrisp. My university developed them and they are absolutely delicious. When I introduced my parents to them last year my dad went out and bought 3 trees. Yes, they are that good.

Gravensteins . Thankfully I live in one of the two areas they happen to grow.

Gala pleeeeease. Golden and red, they look like fall and taste sweet and crisp. Not mealy, soft, or bland and the skin/peel is thin enough to chew without choking.

I worked at a local orchard and we could barely keep the small supply we had of Honeycrisps on the shelf.  They are delicious.

Next would probably be an Ambrosia, and Royal Gala for a readily available favourite.

Red Delicious! They’re sweet and crisp. Second favorite would probably be Royal Gala.

I think you need to ask about apple varieties, and not just colors. 🙂 Some red apples are great, and others are awful!

Honeycrisp is by far the greatest, but they’re pretty pricey so I usually go with Braeburn.

Granny Smith – tart and delicious! I don’t like the texture of Gala apples or most red ones.
