Hi Bees, I had a great experience for my wedding using a Winston-Salem Vendor on etsy called You’re that girl designs. She worked on an original idea for me and by babe to use as a prop for pictures.  Everyone loved it.  She also gave me a discount on the cost when I sent her the picture to use on her website. Love, Ash

Well my wedding isn’t in the triangle, but I live here now. 🙂  My photographer is located in Gastonia (moving to Lake Norman soon) and travels the state.  She’s fantastic!  Her company is Intimate Visions by Kristy (ivkphotography.com).

Also, a friend of mine recommends Victorian Seasons florist in Raleigh.  My friend worked for a wedding planner and they worked with VS a lot.

Sooo, those are my suggestions, for what it’s worth. 🙂

Photographer- Wake Forest Portrait Shoppe!  Incredible!  I will recommend to EVERYONE!  I still can’t get over how fantastic they were!  Melissa and Paul are the owners and they shot our wedding.  The price was amazing and it included the rights to all the pictures- they took more pictures than I’ve ever seen at a wedding.  Guests kept commenting “you are going to get a lot of wonderful pictures- your photographers are amazing!”  If you don’t have your photographer yet- you NEED to check out this place!  http://www.wakeforestportraitshop.com

Prestonwood Country Club is where we had our wedding/reception.  AMAZING!!  If you want to be treated like a queen- this is the place to go!  Christine one of the wedding coordinators there was wonderful!  I can not say enough great things about this place.  It is beautiful, the food is amazing and the staff is so attentive- Just incredible!  And much more affordable to have it on a Friday rather than Saturday!

Hotel Indigo in Durham (http://www.bestdurhamhotel.com) was incredible!  Lindsey the social director is so sweet.  The rooms are so modern and trendy- it made for wonderful pictures.  The hotel was very accomadating- everything we asked for was handled very politely and professionally!  And our guests really enjoyed staying there.  The rooms were very affordable (less than $100 per night) and it is very close to I-40.  I really recommend checking them out!

DJ Joe Bunn company is excellent!  My sister had the actual owner do her wedding and I had Frank Meldau do mine.  He was great!  Great mix of everything he played.  He did a great job of not playing from the do not play list!

However, my flowers left something to be desired.  I was totally shocked when we recieved the price quote- it was amazing!  So I will give them 5 stars for price.  However, my flowers were the wrong color.  I am so glad that I decided to stop by there the day BEFORE the wedding.  I ordered fuchsia gerbera daisies (hot pink is what I kept saying during the meeting)  The gerbera daisies that were made for our centerpieces were a strange pinky purple color.  I burst into tears when I saw them.  (My first and only breakdown of the wedding planning)  They were able to dye the ones for the tables to the hot pink I wanted but my bouquet and my bridesmaids bouquets were not what I wanted.  They were coral.  Coral doesn’t really match hot pink that well- in fact it clashes.  We were glad that we only had to carry the bouquets for a short while cause they really weren’t pretty.  I kept all of the other hot pink daisies for a week after the wedding but threw out the bouquets the next day.  So price was great- but the flowers were not.
