Alexandra is a greek name (or at least it is common among Greek people), so that would work well!

Other ideas of Greek-ish type names:

-Evangeline (Evangelia)

-Anastasia

-Theofany

-Eftihea (Effie)

-Stella

-Katerina

-Zoe

My daughters name is Carys (welsh) but the greek spelling is Karis, meaning grace and kindness which I think is lovely.

Other names I love are Helena, Thea and Cressida. I do like Calliope with the nickname Callie.

Kate127 :  Can I ask, are you welsh? I’m due any day and we’re team yellow. We both like Cerys for a girl. I was born in Wales but moved to England as a baby. Darling Husband is worried that we’re not welsh enough to use the name.

My sisters name is Evelyn and I am not having kids but thought of lots of names for her and one was Everly as a play on her name. I also really love the names Miller, Vera/Veda, Gloria, and Marcie!

Twizbe :  We’re English too, living in the US though now. We have Welsh family friends and they think its cool. Cerys is a beautiful name! I knew a Cerys in school and she wasn’t Welsh so I definitely think you could use it, especially as you were born there.

TheGridMonster :  I love Evanthe! And Ianthe. I wish my husband loved them as much as I so.

Our daughter is Odessa, and those names would be perfect if we had another girl! We agreed on Caris, but I love the vowel names.
