Fun fun! Part of me thinks that when you see the baby a name will come but maybe I am just hoping for that because I am sooo indecisive:) But my favorite names for a girl are:

Lauren, Elizabeth, Leah, Lila, Ashling, Sophia, Katie

and for a boy:

Nathan, Connor, Will, Eoin (Irish version of Owen).

Darling Husband always hates the names I pick out, so I might as well go ahead and share them with you ladies!

  • Alice
  • Alma
  • Anna
  • Camilla
  • Clare/Claris
  • Emily
  • Karis (grandmother’s maiden name)
  • Lilah
  • Mary
  • Rosemary
  • Violet

  • Ashford/Ashland
  • Bradford (great-grandmother’s maiden name)
  • Caleb
  • Eli
  • Everett
  • Hank
  • Ira
  • Owen
  • Ryland
  • Samuel
  • Weston

I don’t know why Darling Husband doesn’t like my names — I think I’m the best at picking out names!  Also I want to name our future dog Richard, because I think it’s super cute when dogs have people names.

@JennBug89: love that show 🙂 Nathan and Luke are awesome names, I should have put Nathan on my list. But I can definitely see why you wouldn’t want to use both of them!

Ugh, my number one girl name for forever was Audrey, but then my cousin had to go and have an adorable daughter that she named Audrey!  I guess she has good reason, though, her grandma (the one we don’t share) is Audrey, and I just liked the name, so I’ll get over it…

I love Elinore, though, and Charlie and Billie.  Super cute.  Always loved Casey for boy or girl.  For a boy, I like Edwin (my grandpa’s name) and Theodore (Teddy!)

Love reading everyone’s ideas, some super cute names I hadn’t thought of before!

I find it strange that now that we are pregnant, and should be thinking about names soon, I like very few. I had a huge list going when before be even started trying, and I keep thinking “I would never name my child this.” I think this is going to be one of the hardest decisions we have to make during this pregnancy and we probably won’t make a real decision until we’ve seen him/her.

That said, I really only like Lorelei Wren at this point for a girl, and the names Thatcher, Archer, and Oliver for boy names. The only one my husband agrees with is Oliver. We have really different tastes in name. He’d name a girl Tipper if I’d let him. No.

For girl:Weve both decided on Rose. No variations like rosie(I hate rosie-no offence!) But I also like,Ella,Eva,Isabelle, Esme (DH hates this!lol)I think Im deinately a traditional name lover.

For a boy,I love William but Darling Husband hasd this weird thing that other kids will call him “willy” I used to babysit a william and NEVER heard anyone call him Willy. Will,Wills yes but not Willy lol. But he cant come up with an alternative so for the time being, our boy name is William lol.

Fiance and I have already discussed baby names even though thats a loooong ways off. I guess we’re fairly traditional when it comes to names. For a boy we like Samuel Edward and for a girl Ella Joy.

My maternal great grandma went by Lena and my paternal great grandmother was Helen so I am insisting we name our first daughter Helena. Fiance doesn’t love it but he also doesn’t hate it so our agreement is he gets to give them the last name so I get the biggest say on the first name.

For boys my maiden last name starts with a W and it has become tradition to name boys a W first name, my grandpa was a WW, my father is a WW, and my brother is a WW. Conveniently when we get married my new last name will also start with a W so I love the idea of continuing this tradition with our new last name. Unfortunately we haven’t found any W names we absolutely love.

Right now my faves are:

Sofia (We all love this name. We could call her “Sofi”)

Micaela (I love this one.. though nobody in my family likes it.. I´d call her “Mica” or “Ela” …*sigh*)

But the inner fangirl in me wants to call my girls: Hermione and Nymphadora, and my boys: Severus, Sirius and Remus.. does that make sense?? LOL! of course I never will…

Girl names:

  • Ava Rose
  • Analeigh
  • Lucille
  • Olivia
  • Lorelei (which Fiance hates!)

Boy names:

  • Jude
  • Liam
  • Travis

ETA: I also like the name Thomas, but I hate the nicknames Tom and Tommy.  So, I think it’s best suited for a middle name.
