I am getting married in 9 days!!!! (4 hour and 36 minutes) But who’s counting. We live in NC but our wedding is going to be in GA. Then we are hitting the road to catch our honeymoon cruise out of FL. So total i have about 11 hours of driving coming up in the next week. I am looking for some books to download onto my kindle to read on the road and during some lazy beach time.
What is your favorite book? Who are your favorite authors?
My favorites are:
A change of heart by Jodi Picoult–All of her books are amazing but that is my fav.
Slammed (book 1 of 2) & Point of retreat (book 2 of 2) by Colleen Hoover.
Twilight… (Don’t judge).

Jen Lancaster! Her earlier books are WAY funnier though, I haven’t really enjoyed her last two books.
I like Jodi Piccoult and Nicholas Sparks as well.

Lisa Jackson writes AMAZING paranormal romance – she’s great with characters and plot, and her books usually creep the hell outta me. Plus the sex scenes are usually pretty hot 😉
If you’re looking for something a little less fluffy, Neil Gaiman is my all-time favourite author. American Gods and Neverwhere are both excellent.

James Patterson writes awesome thrillers as does lj sellars

Jane Austen is my favourite author, Pride and Prejudice my favourite book 🙂 I have read it at least 20 times in the last few years. All the books are incredible.
I love semi nonfiction books about English history, especially ones by Alison Weir and Phillippa Gregory 🙂
For fantasy there is Tolkien, and for romance there is E.L. James (Fifty Shades)

Anne of Green Gables has been my favorite book for 20 years. I love LM Montgomery. Also:
“Pride and Prejudice” by Jane Austen
“Alias Grace” by Margaret Atwood
Roald Dahl’s short story collections for adults – these are awesome! They all have a “twist” at the end, kind of like The Twilight Zone. I took the collection “Kiss Kiss” on vacation with me!
For a lazy beach read, I like Sophie Kinsella (the “Shopaholic” author). Also, I don’t know if you’re into these, but the YA dystopian novels (like “Hunger Games”) are a pretty fun read.

I just read Ghostman by Roger Hobbs and it was “I couldn’t put it down!” awesome!

OOOO… I plugged in A Change of Heart and came up with Paul Burke – The Man Who Fell in Love with His Wife which seems perfect for a honeymoon read!

If you’re more into romances I’d suggest Illona Andrew’s The Edge series. If you’re just looking for my personal favorite authors I’d say Patricia Briggs, Robin McKinley, Terry Pratchett…there’s more but that’s what jumping to mind right now.

if you don’t mind books that are more geared to teens- the pretty little liars series is really good. the books are way better than the tv show (i gave up on that aftr the 2nd episode). i also really like sarah desson’s books.
