Alton Brown and Anne Burrell are my favorite; I can’t stand Sandra Lee.

Really, though, I can totally zone out to the Food Network, it doesn’t really matter who’s on. I do have to mute some of them, though.

Before I share my loves and hates I had to post this picture. It caught my eye on Pinterest and I died laughing.

Anyways!

Loves:

  • I tell everyone Paula Deen is my grandma. I just love her so much, she would be the best gramma ever!
  • Love Morimoto and the original Iron Chef gang back in Japan.
  • Gordon Ramsey. To me he is the Jillian(Biggest Loser) of food.
  • I like Jamie Oliver less as a chef and more from the Food Revolution aspect.
  • Alton Brown, so geeky cute
  • Anthony Bourdain – how can you not?
  • Robert Irvine – can you say muscles?

Hates:

  • Ina – I just want to slap her with a dead fish. She just really rubs me the wrong way and everything she cooks does not sound that appetizing.
  • Bobby Flay – I dont hate hate him, I just hate hate his voice.
  • Sandra Lee – I don’t even bother watching. Ugh.
  • Guy is annoying as hell.
  • Rachel Ray – My dad loves her, she is my FI’s “island wife”, but she just needs to tone it down like 5 notches on the quirky scale.

I think thats enough. I obviously watch way too much Food Network.

I love Alton Brown!

Also enjoy: Emeril, Giada, Rachael Ray, Paula Deen, Bobby Flay, Cat Cora, Michael Symon

Mixed feelings: Ina Garten (I like her cooking, but I hate the tone of her show, it’s too slow/laid back that I can’t stand to watc it)

Hate: Sandra Lee (I like what she does for hungry kids, but her cooking & her show I hate), Guy Fieri (fried crap), The Neelys (‘nuf said)

Love: Racheal Ray, Ina Garten (her recipes are so simple!!), Bobby Flay, Paula!, Julia Child…

Hate: Giada de Laurentis, The Neelys (so fake lovey and awkward, I feel like they’re gonna strip down and start doing it on the counter… enough.), Robert Irvine, Sandra Lee, I would never make any of her recipes, and she emphasizes all wrong words “Now we’re going to put these INTO the oven for TEN minutes, and they’ll be great for OUR party”

I love: Nigella Lawson (she’s pure filth), Sophie Dahl, Heston Blumenthal, The Hairy Bikers, Tom Kitchin, Levi Roots, Nigel Slater, Angela Hartnett, Mary Contini.

I respect/can watch: Gordon Ramsay, Keith Floyd, James Martin, Nick Nairn, Jamie Oliver (although his cookbooks are REALLY insulting to his wife).

I hate: Delia Smith, Rachel Allan, Gary Rhodes, Anthony Worrall Thompson.

I gotta say I love Bobby Flay’s food.  I do find him a bit smarmy on TV, but I’ve eaten at 3 of his restaurants (from the low end – Bobby’s Burger Palace – to the high end – Mesa Grill and Bobby Flay Steak), and they are all AWESOME!  His food is just GOOD.

In terms of TV personalities, I’ve always enjoyed Alton Brown, Anthony Bourdain, and Guy Fieri.

I LOVE Curtis Stone (he’s an Aussie chef – I think Oprah had him on her show a few times).  I just love him – probably doesn’t hurt that I also have a major crush on him.

And my other favourite is another Aussie chef – Matt Moran.  Again, probably doesn’t hurt that I have a major crush on him!

ETA:  It’s not just that I have a crush on both of these guys – I also love the cooking they do!  DH and I are going to try and get into Matt Moran’s restaurant when we next head to Sydney or Melbourne.    I also love Jaime Oliver’s cooking – he’s got a show here that does 30 minute meals and Darling Husband and I drool over them every single time we watch it.
