“Please come home for christmas” by Charles Brown.  Not to be confused with the much more popular “christmas, baby please come home” by Darlene Love.

The Bruce Springsteen version of “Santa Claus is Coming to Town”, “Step Into Christmas” by Elton John, “So This is Christmas” by John Lennon, “Blue Christmas” by Elvis. And of course, Bing Crosby’s “I’m Dreaming of a White Christmas”, the ultimate classic.

AnnieInWonderland :  carol of the bells. I always lean toward Christmas music that has no words or I can’t understand also like the little drummer boy

AnnieInWonderland :  you probably won’t want to include this on your mom’s CD but my year round favorite Christmas song is the Pogues’ Fairytale of New York.

I can’t decide on my favorite sentimental Christmas song at the moment. I feel like I’ll be brain farting on that until December when I’m reminded of them

Top Christmas songs in rotation in our house are:

Happy Christmas (War Is Over)

Fairytale of New York

Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer

Allan Sherman’s version of the 12 Days of Christmas

Baby It’s Cold Outside (older version, sorry not sorry)

It’s not Christmas without El Burrito Sabanero (so many great versions including Elvis Crespo and the Remix).

And Duke Ellington’s version of the Nutcracker is the best Chrsitmas album ever.

East 17’s Stay. It’s the perfect Christmas song as it doesn’t mention Christmas at all lol. It was Christmas number 1 back in the 90s and has some festive bells in it so is on every Christmas song list here.

So there’s a Christmas album that was just released by one of my favorite groups- The Five Browns, they’re a group of 5 siblings who are all virtuoso pianists. When they all play at once it’s like an entire orchestra but on 5 pianos. So if your mom likes piano music I would absolutely recommend something from that album! They have a bunch of different pieces from the Nutcracker to Sleigh Ride to Carol of the Bells. It’s called “Christmas with the 5 Browns.”

May or may not be listening to it right now at work 😉
