Do you ladies have a designer that you are just drawn to?? I don’t mean just for your gown, but gowns in general?? And did you go with that designer for your gown??

For me it’s Watters, hands down. Anytime I do a google search on gowns, each one I click always happens to be a Watters. It’s gotten to the point where I can pick them out even before I look to see where it’s from. My gown ended up being a “replica” (not really, but similar) of Watters Lena. I wish I wasn’t so budget minded. I would have loved to splurge just this once, but I couldn’t justify it for something I’m only going to wear once.

I find myself drawn to Elie Saab all the time but his magnificent creations are so out of the realm of possibility for me price-wise
I just looked up the Lena.. very pretty!!

My daughter wore a Lazaro. They have exquisite detail and craftsmanship. I can pick them out, almost every time they’re on “Say Yes, to the Dress.”

My favorite is Hayley Paige and yes, I ended up going with one of her dresses for my wedding gown!

I’m in love with Alturazza but his designs are out of reach. I love his stuff from an Art History perspective — knowing where he comes from helps me better appreciate his work.

- Wedding: May 2013 - Pavilion overlooking golf course scenery, reception at banquet hall
Sophia Tolli has some beautiful/unique designs. I really like her style.
I was a Mori Lee bride, though, and while a lot of her stuff is pretty run-of-the-mill I have great respect for her intricate beading. Up close her fabrics are stunning compared to other designers at similar price points.

djenah79: For wedding dresses I was drawn to Maggie Sottero/Sottero and Midgley. In day to day life I REALLY love Ralph Lauren with Calvin Klein as a runner up, they know how to make a curvy lady look good ! 🙂
