I LOVE the smell of Gain Apple Mango Tango, could seriously just stand and sniff clothes washed with that all day!!! It’s not the easiest on the pocket book tho 🙁

Teen LK has eczema, so we use Seventh Generation Free & Clear because it doesn’t irritate his skin. I’ve been using it for about 8 years now and am totally satisfied with it.

@Sassygrn:  How do you make it? That’s awesome! We spend like ~20 or more per month buying detergent 🙁

We use Target brand free and clear detergent, and that works great for us.  Method is also amazing, and really concentrated, so you don’t need much at all.  I’ve found things like Tide and Gain make my skin break out in welts and hives, so all we use is unscented stuff, and a ball of tin foil in the dryer to break up static.  Works like a charm.

@Baroness_Meg:  If I can find it, I just buy the fabric softner sheets 🙂 Your clothes smell just as good and it is a little easier on the wallet 🙂

I usually use All Small & Mighty or the little pods. I <3 them.

I’ve been using cold water to wash all of our clothes and the Gain Apple Mango Tango which I LOVE the smell of was staining all of our clothes. I guess it didn’t dissolve well in the cold water. I switched to Tide HE Cold Water detergent and it has made all the difference. I used to wait until the basin filled with water before I dumped my clothes in (my washer has a load size sensor so the clothes need to go in early) but now I can throw them in after about 30 seconds of water flows in.

I still use the Gain on our linens which I wash in hot water.

I use All Free and Clear becuase of my allergies. The clothes come out clean and don’t smell like anything, which is clean to me.

I’m huge on Tide….I’d buy it from the trunk of a car (did anyone else see those articles about black market tide??)

Tide Free & Gentle or

Tide Coldwater Free

I hate Gain.  I feel miserable just being in someone’s house if they use it.  I also have issues walking down the detergent aisle.  My eyes burn, sometimes I get a bit wheezy and my sinuses get irrated.  DH usually buys it thank goodness!
