My favorite is a GSD and my hubby’s dream dog is a mastiff. We were actually looking to get a puppy when a friend of mine posted a free puppy on fb. I knew that she was meant to be ours when she said that she was a GS/ Mastiff mix. I am obsessed with my dog.

I am 100% a standard poodle owner.  They are it for me!!  They don’t shed, they are extremely smart, extremely funny, extremely loyal and quirky.  I love my poodles!

Pitbulls or Staffy’s. They are large enough that you can take hiking, swimming, agility etc but small enough that they dont take up much room in the house. They are also short haired and just have awesome personalities. When I have enough room (moving next year) I plan to adopt from HugaBull http://hugabull.com/

Random internet picture, but how sweet is that face:

Favorite big dog: Love the way the Red Husky’s look, never had one.

Medium size dog: American Bulldog

Small size dog: Miniture pincher

For the record – only dog I have ever owned is my Red Lab – he is a pretty boy but very protective, little territorial, and wasn’t around little kids, so he doesn’t like little ones Cry makes me sad. But if we have a baby we will not be getting rid of him. He is family and I don’t believe in just disposing of a great family member, he (dog) will have to learn and adapt – very slow introductions with lots of rewards.

I love Bernese Mountain Dogs…. not only because I have the CUTEST one ever, but they are generally great dogs. They are very calm and loving, Since we got Bailey (got her at 8 weeks now she is 14 months) she has barked about 5 times, has never gotten aggressive with another dog or person (other than nibbling on my fiance and I). Plus they have such an  expressive face…. I love her to pieces!

I love Border Collies, GSDs, and Papillons! Right now we have a BC, but I’ve had GSDs too and they are both wonderful dogs. I just can’t get over how cute papillons are though…

I seriously love dogs. Looking through this thread just makes me happy.

DH and I love hound dogs, basset hounds in particular! We have two rescue hound mixes, one beagle/basset and one beagle/fox hound. They are my babies.

Here is our beagle/basset, Lacie:

And our beagle/ fox hound, Gator (or Tater Tot):

I’ve only ever owned mutts, so they’re my favorite! I’m currently raising a pit bull/husky/lab mix, and I never know what characteristics I’m gonna see in him from day to day! Some days he’s super snuggly like a lab, then when he plays he has the intensity and strength of a pittie, runs like a husky. And some days he looks more lab than pit and vice versa. I just think mixed breeds are so cool!
