Love shrimp kabobs! Seasoned with some BBQ sauce on them mmmm. As a side I love a sweet potato cut in half, put some salt and pepper and grill in tin foil for 20 min, sooo good. And corn on the cob is always yummy!!

I am of the opinion that you can grill pretty much anything!

I was going to suggest somethign I made last week – grilled chicken with chimichurri sauce. OMG so good. You can really just put that sauce on anything though haha.

I like grilling large pieces of meat and cutting them down later. ie whole chicken, skirt steaks, roasts. That will feed a whole family and you add a salad and some grilled veggies (half onions, half bell peppers, corn, etc). Maybe check out the store and see if you have any skirt or flank steak, marinade it and cook that. Yum!

My SO and I make homemade turkey burgers a lot. It’s healthier than a hamburger and a change from the usual chicken.

put slices of lemon down on the grill, and then put salmon on top! keeps the salmon from sticking to the grill (always a disaster), and imbues lovely lemon flavor with the smoke. 🙂

for dessert, grilled peaches or grilled slices of pineapple. they’ll get slightly caramelized as they grill, so don’t add sugar!

Grilled Chicken and veggies. There’s nothing better than grilled zuchinni and yellow squash, NOTHING. Well, except for some corn. And asparagus. And peaches. Heck, just make a stir fry!

And now to tell Fiance we’re going to grill out tonight… 🙂

MrsSapphire :  we love to make steak fries on the grill – just cut up potatoes into 8 wedges and season with a little oil, salt, pepper, and paprika. Use a grill basket to make your life easier, but they are delicious! We mix up a dipping sauce of greek yogurt and sweet chili sauce for a little shot of protein.

Octopus, steak & lamb chops are my favorite meats to grill. A basket filled with cut mixed vegetables is really good.  Or whatever vegtable I have on hand.

Grilled baby bella mushroom skewers…I mix together melted butter, garlic, fresh dill, salt and pepper and brush it on every five minutes or so while the mushrooms cook.

We make individual pizzas on the grill.  Everyone likes different toppings so it’s perfect.  I like pesto and veggies and salami together.

MrsSapphire : At the moment I’m into prawns on the BBQ, I make a chilli dressing and put that on and leave them to sit for approx. 30 minutes. I find a bit of fish breaks it up and will have the prawns as a starter while the meat is cooking. Minted lamb is nice on the BBQ too, when I was young my parents used to buy it ready marinaded and it was spot on, if I was to do it myself I know it would be nowhere near as good.

Pineapple! Also grilled Portabellos are one of the best things you can put on the BBQ. Seriously, just try subsitituting them for meat, they’re so much healthier and not so messy!
