If you like sweet whites, Hogue Late Harvest Reisling is super good. $9 a bottle. But make sure it’s late harvest!

Apothic White. Roughly $7-9. Another favorite is the Barefoot Refresher. Crisp White Sprtizer is my favorite, really good on a summer day. I believe they are about $7 a bottle.

Frisky Zebras Shiraz and Two Oceans Sauvignon Blanc (I love South African wines).  I also like this Greek wine called Kourtakis Apelia. For sparkling wine/champagne, I love Freixenet Cordon Negro Brut Cava or Como Sur (Chilean) sparkling rosé.

If you like sweet and sparkly, try New Age! My SIL got me hooked on it as my occasional “treat” wine. I’ve never seen it sold for over $15, and it’s almost always on sale at Kroger for under $10.

J Lohr cabernet is the best Cabernet I’ve had in this price point and beats out many more expensive wines for a full-bodied Cabernet.  It has been my favorite wine for about 7 years now.  I can get it on sale at our local big box store for $11.99.  I found this Marques de Caceres Rioja at the airport in Spain, not realizing I paid double for what it costs here ($13-$15), but would have gladly paid the same for another bottle.

For chardonnay, La Crema!

I recently discovered Menage-a-Trois Silk. It’s a red blend that’s not too dry and not sweet. $6.99 at Costco!

I’m more of a sweet wine girl. My absolute favorite wine is Bricco Riella Moscato d’Asti! It’s less than $10 and available at my local grocery The Cupcake Moscato is a close 2nd for me. Being in Indiana, I also enjoy Oliver Winery wines, particularly the Soft Rose and Soft Red, which are usually between $8 and $12. I also recently tried a chocolate/red wine mix called Chocolat Rouge Sweet Red – it was pretty awesome! The lady who bought it said it was around $10.

For reds, my favorite is the Apothic Red Blend (the dark apothic is really good too).  For white, my absoutle favorite is Cavit Pinot Grigio. It’s like $12 for a big bottle.

Do you an Aldi’s by you?  I’ve found some decent ones there for like $6-$8.  The white I usually pick up at the liquor store is Blue Nun, which is less than $20.
