Just wondering what your favorite lotion is? My hands are so dry and cracked that they are actually bleeding tonight! I wash my hands A LOT. 3 days a week I am a mental health counselor in schools and then 3 days I work as a counselor at a hospital detox clinic so washing my hands is a must. I have yet to find a moisturizer that works really well. Someone told me to use olive oil but that just seems weird to me. Has anyone else heard of that?
I’d appreciate any and all suggestions! Thanks! 🙂

@theredhead: I used to be a grad student and work in a lab so my hands were always dry. I used cuticle cream a lot I remember…Burt’s bees. And then I think an aveeno moisturizer.
Right now I use Philisophy’s Amazing Grace which I LOVE!! I’m not in a lab anymore, but I use this every day on my arms/hands and it works great and smells delicious!

@Stammie16: My mom uses that Philosophy stuff! I’ve heard it’s good so I may have to try it. Cuticle cream is a great idea because it’s so thick! Thanks so much for the suggestions!

C.O. Bigelow Chapped Hands Remedy (from Bath & Body Works) helps repair chapped hands really quickly!

I LOVE Curel for sensitive skin. It’s non-greasy, non-smelly, and it totally works!

My dad is a farmer, and winter dryness would make his hands crack and bleed too. My mom got him some kind of Mary Kay lotion stuff. It’s a orangey-pink color and super-greasy, but it worked.
I’ve also heard that baby oil works really well, and I’ve actually tried that for my feet, and it works when I actually remember to put it on!
There are also glysolid products (I see them at hair salons, red&white packaging) and that stuff works really well too!
