So Bees, tell me what is your favorite Moisturizer? Drugstore or “name brand”
My face is SOOO DRY lately. I swear it is like the Sahara and flaking and peeling like a storm it is so sad 🙁
I have tried so many products out there over the years, but have been using Clinque’s for years, but it isn’t doing the “heavy lifting” any more, LOL
So what is you SWEAR TO-GO TO IT MOISTURIZER.
Please me and my flakey face need your help!

My favorite was discontinued, so I was one hunt. I stumbled across Philosophy’s Miracle Worker and I really like it (it’s meant for night, but I use it for day too).
I had a horrible cold/allergies last week and my nose was RAW and peeling something bad. I used Miracle Worker on it and it was COMPLETELY gone (usually my moisturizer will just cover it up for a short while – but it really helped heal it, IMO).

I like to use the Olay Age Defying moisturizer. LOVE it. I like to use the age defying line for the future. 🙂 Lol.

I LOVVVE Clinique’s yellow moisturizer.

I kept being bombarded by commercials for the Aveeno “Positively Radiant” moisturizer so I finally went out and bought it about a month ago. The commericals were right…my skin is positively radiant! Haha. All jokes aside it’s actually amazing. I tend to break out with cheaper lotions and I have had zero breakouts using this one. My skin also looks tighter and more even. I think they are on sale at Walmart right now for like $15 🙂

If you don’t have sensitive skin (breakout prone) Lanolin is a MIRACLE for dry skin. I bought some back when my son was born and never really needed it but used it one day in a pinch as chapstick. I’ve been buying it ever since! Fiance has really bad dry elbows, we’ve probably tried over 50 different lotions and home remedies to help with the cracks. Only Lanolin helped.

I use Olay Complete Facial Moisturizer (I buy it at CVS or Target). I have super dry skin on my face as well and it works great for me. Plus SPF protection!

I was using Aveeno’s Positively Radiant and it actually dried out my skin really bad. The lady doing my hair for the wedding recommended Dermalogica, which I now love! My face is no longer flakey. You can get it at Ulta and they were very helpful when I went and recommended which products I should use based on my skin issues. It’s a bit pricier than drugstore brands but not crazy expensive. You can also buy a starter kit, which is nice so that you can try it out.

@MrsDulce: AHh you too, I wonder why it stopped working.
I should add. Super Dry/Combo and Sensitive skin
WOW THANKS SO MUCH GIRLS!!! SO many wonderful suggestions!!! And ALL the products you have mentioned I have heard good things about. So now I just need to figure out which one to buy and try first, LOL.

I like Nivea Creme. I slather it on. My skin is dry and I use Retin-A which makes it even worse. Nivea really helps. It’s greasy and takes a while to sink in – so its not always the best for rushed mornings. I like slathering it on at night.
I like Weleda Skin Food too – not at much as Nivea though.
I use Ponds Cold Cream (or a generic) to wash my face. This helps too.

@irishbride2be: if you have a Nordstrom nearby, they’ll give you a free sample of Miracle Worker (or any other product, for that matter!)

L’occitane has great products for super dry skin. I know because I have super dry skin and also have looked high and low for the best. 🙂 http://www.loccitane.com/a-true-story,29,1,2270,106327.htm
Only problem is that it’s pretty pricey but if you were already buying Clinique it shouldn’t be a big difference in price.

Sephora will give you samples too. I have to also vouch for Miracle Worker. Really great moisturizer!

It may sound gross… But use extra virgin olive oil. Its completely natural and not filled with harsh chemicals that will make your skin worse while claiming to fix all the problems. If you rub a thin layer on then wipe off with a warm wash cloth, it works wonders on your skin. It’s really good at taking off makeup too.
