Just wondering what part of a wedding do people look forward to the most. I know some people are big foodies so they look forward to dinner. Others are sentimental and really look forward to the ceremony. I think I look forward to the ceremony the most, especially because I’m a sucker for a crying groom.

Mostly food is the exciting part of a wedding for me but the sentimental part of me also really enjoys the vows in the ceremony.

Ceremony first a foremost, because thats why we’re all there.
Second is dessert 🙂

I like the ceremony and (usually) the speeches the most.
Next would be food.

at the wedding: recieving the answers to my curiosity… what type of dress, what type of venue, what type of food, what type of entertainment etc…
after the wedding: the things I like most and remember are the little personal touches where you know its about the couple and not just a pre-set package wedding… things like tables names, cake/toppers, centerpieces, favors… to be honest a year later I wont remember anything of the dress except the rough style and material and will of forgotton the food and what songs played or the wording of the speach but I WILL remember the little sugarskull place setting or the eiffle tower shape centerpiece with dusty pink roses or the seating plan named after favorite tv shows
I only remember food if there was not enough of it or it was inedible… I eat every single day and dont make a mental note of whats when and where – I also dont really drink at weddings, I can drink like its going out of style most parties but I think a wedding is a respectful event about two other people and you should be FULLY in control of yourself and not risk making a scene, pretty much have like a 2 drink max (we have probably all see a drunk at a wedding and its often like watching a disaster unfold in slow motion)

I will remember if I had a fun time dancing at your wedding.
I get the most excited for cake, and honestly, I have been disappointed at EVERY wedding. I’ve never had good wedding cake. It’s always dry.
I don’t care about the ceremony.

Dancing! One of the reasons I think my wedding was super fun was because the photographer caught every single one of my guests dancing at some point. I loooove my reception photos: they are all super blurry with people are caught in awkward mid-dance positions, faces contorted, sweat dripping down their faces…
Second is the drinks – dancing and drinking go hand in hand for me 😉

As a guest, I really like the speeches.
I surprised myself by finding our ceremony the best part of the day for me personally when we got married.

musicluvr325 : never had a good wedding cake? Aww that sucks. I think in general the wedding cakes I’ve had have been pretty decent, but I’m also not a big cake person so I’m not a good judge of cakes.
I also look forward to the music, but not necessarily the dancing. I don’t do a lot of dancing, but I do still like listening to good music, so I look forward to good bands/djs.

MiniMeow : I love the cake cutting part. I have taken photos of every single wedding I have attended with the bride and groom standing right next to their cake.

As a vegetarian, if you have non-meat options aside from salad and bread, you will win my heart over and that will be my favorite part of the day.
Otherwise my favorite part is hearing the music selections at the ceremony followed closely by spending time with people at the reception.

MiniMeow : I loooooove cake. I look forward to the cake, then I get it and I become sad.
